Supplementary Matters

In an Ideal World ......................

Picture the scene: I live on a smallholding on Dartmoor with a vast veggie patch, greenhouses, an orchard and a bunch of enthusiastic chickens.

Each morning I twirl around the garden in an Insta-worthy dress and straw hat (because it never rains on Dartmoor, right?) and whimsically sprinkle chicken feed around while picking a selection of veg to bottle up into a beautiful kimchi, then head to my lovely rustic kitchen to slice some freshly baked sourdough to have with homemade jam or honey from the neighbour’s beehives (bees scare me, so we have a deal to swap eggs for honey).

Oh – I just woke up.

In reality, I live in a town almost devoid of organic veg, or fresh healthy food. I don’t have time to prep any healthy meals as I sit at an electromagnet radiation-emitting computer all day.

I’m getting on a bit, so does it matter?? Yes, I think it does. I want to see my grandkids grow, and play with them on the floor, then actually be able to get up again without the aid of a hoist. I don’t want to have a stroke/heart attack/dementia or any of the other things the socials gleefully tell me I’m eligible for.

I tried to raise my kids healthily and did the best I could. I couldn’t afford organic everything, but I found some wholefood supplements (I called the green superfood mix ‘swamp food’, which seemed to do the trick).

So, I believe in supplements, but only those that make you twitch a bit when you see the price! Unfortunately, anything below that price has very probably been produced in a lab from synthetic identicals that will just happily skip through your system and down the loo with bugger all benefit to your body or mind. Supplements made with real food, cleverly condensed into a capsule or powder and taken as part of a reasonably healthy, junk-free diet, in my opinion, will help keep all ages out of the doctor’s waiting room (thus reducing waiting lists - win win!).

doTERRA has taken the benefits of essential oils and cleverly mixed them with ethically sourced natural herbs and other magical gifts from nature. They have used their amazing research and technology to deliver easy-to-take, pleasant-tasting (mostly) little soldiers to help keep all our body systems (including brain/mood/sleep) tip top.

No, they’re not cheap, but you can join a loyalty rewards program that gives you up to 30% in points on what you spend, meaning that freebies are almost as regular as your bowels (sorry – couldn’t resist)

So, here’s a run-down of some of the available things.

All round health – a daily dose of so many things I won’t bore you with all the details.

Gut Health – take out the baddies and add in the goodies

Hormone health – for ouchies to grouchies

Cellular health – clear out the crap and repair the damage

Kids health – vits and omegas to help keep them healthy and happy and manageable!

Digestion – calm the intestines and keep things moving in the right direction.

Respiratory – breathe easy and maybe even stop the snoring

Skeletal – less creaky aches & pains

Metabolism – stay awake all afternoon

Weight management – not a miracle, but it certainly helps!

Pick and choose what you need at the time.

If you want more info on how these can help you personally, then visit the website or get in touch, or have a google on the benefits of going natural.

Here’s to the future – may it be long and enjoyable xx
